Cristiano Ronaldo collaborated with Lapo Elkann’s brand, Italia Independent, for the launch of his first sunglasses collection: CR7 Eyewear. The collaboration with the top player of the Juventus was announced in February, with an exclusive contract of 5 years and is now available at CR7-Eyewear.com. The CR7 Eyewear line is inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo’s style, is characterized by a bold design and attention to the details, like the number 7 on the side, the CR7 logo and Ronaldo’s signature on the lense. The collection features 7 pairs of sunglass, each one of them available in 5 different colours.
The price of a pair of CR7 eyewear ranges between R1 400 and R2 600, and comes with acetate, metal and injected plastic frames. Classic pairs like black or turtle alternate with original combinations like a pair of golden aviators with a mirror lens, or a see-through frame with grading lense, and of course, the black and white sunglasses inspired by the colours of the Juventus. “We have been working together for the past year on the design and creative process and it is great that we share the same attitude and the same attention to details. I cannot wait for everyone to see the collection,” said Ronaldo on his collaboration with Lapo Elkann, founder and creative director of Italia Independent.
