Converse Renew is the latest project by Converse that promote the creation of products with materials obtained from the upcycling of industrial discards and second-hand clothes. In this was the brand want to develop new sustainable ways to create their products. The new collaboration between Converse and Carhartt WIP was created with recycled materials from used Carhartt garments, that made possible the new Chuck 70.
Work jackets, trousers and salopettes Carhartt were divided based on three colourways: blue, black and brown and transformed into the canvas for the Chuck 70. The result is that every pair is different from the others. With this project, the two brands were able to save 108.000 textile products ended up in a rubbish dump.
