From January 1, 2021, Charlotte Casiraghi, 34, will be the new Chanel ambassador and spokesperson. But not only. She will be featured in the campaign for the SS2021 Ready-to-Wear collection created by Virginie Viard. The shots will be shot in Munich and bear the signature of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The second child of Carolina of Monaco has always been linked to the Maison, and after Karl Lagerfeld the collaboration path continues today with Viard.
Graduated in Philosophy, mother of two, shy and reserved, Charlotte Casiraghi has always been loyal to the maison. She attends numerous Chanel events and shows, regularly wearing the maison’s creations from an early age. With a passion for literature and poetry, the princess is not only a spokesperson for Chanel but also president of the Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco. An association she founded in 2015, whose purpose is to celebrate and promote philosophy through monthly themed events. Charlotte also has a real passion for horses. She has taken part in several show jumping competitions, and is also the godmother of the international Monte-Carlo jumping event.
But it doesn’t stop there. The Chanel maison, Virginie Viard and Charlotte Casiraghi will soon unveil a project entitled Les Rendez-vous littéraires rue Cambon (literary appointment in rue Cambon). In fact, in the course of 2021, writers and actresses will illustrate their perspective on their own work or on that of other historical or contemporary literary figures, to all the “friends of the maison”. These meetings will be broadcast on Chanel’s website and social networks. The first of these events will take place on Tuesday 26 January in the salons of rue Cambon.
Charlotte is not the first “royal” influencer. In Munich Beatrice Borromeo lends her face to the Buccellati maison. While in the United Kingdom the aristocrats linked to brands are Kitty Spencer, Lady D’s granddaughter, close to Bulgari and Lady Amelia Windsor who instead supports ethical and sustainable fashion.
