The new Carhartt WIP Fall/Winter 2020 collection reinterprets some of the archival and classic Carhartt’s items but in a workwear and functional way. The aesthetic of the brand found itself in a new shape and form, incorporating the typical motif of hunting clothing like camouflage. It mixes elements made in canvas, with functional details, as well as including some futuristic-looking pieces, that gives a contemporary take to workwear.
The innovative aspect of the camouflage is in contrast with the neon orange, the elements in nylon and reversible pile. In some cases instead, the design is focused on more traditional elements of the brand and re-interpreting them throughout a juxtaposition of different materials. These elements highlight the triple sewing, like in the case of the Bib Overall or the Double Knee Pant, that were made with a special laser technology that gives the idea of lived-in.
Some of the materials used for the collection include wool and corduroy that add a soft and warm touch in contrast with the static elegance of the technical textures. This collection also sees the comeback of the GORE-TEX INFINIUM technology that makes every piece and accessory waterproof. The Carhartt WIP F/W 2020 is now available in the Carhartt Stores, online and selected retailers.
