The 47th edition of the MTV American Music Awards was held yesterday November 24th: the great ceremony dedicated to all the American artists of the moment. On stage a succession of super stars and to direct “the orchestra” the singer Ciara.
The first guest of the 2019 American Music Awards was US singer Selena Gomez. The artist proposed the last two singles on the stage of the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles (the location): Lose You to Love Me (dedicated to the former Justin Bieber) and Look at Her Now (currently on radio). The couple of the moment Camilla Cabello and Show Mendes are eagerly awaited on stage with the performance of their hit Señorita, winning the prize for “best collaboration of the year”, present the two true revelations of the musical year that is coming to an end Lizzo and the very young Billie Eilish, (the latter winner of the “New Artist of the year” award) as well as Dua Lipa, Post Malone, the timeless Green Day, the Jonas Brothers, Christina Aguilera, Thomas Rhett and Shania Twain and many others. But the undisputed protagonists of the evening were Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift who were competing for the nomination in the category “Artist of the year” won by Taylor, also in honor of his 10-year career, and winner of another 5 awards including Artist of the decade and the most award-winning artist record ever with 29 AMA’s, surpassing Michael Jackson.
