Adidas Originals is ready to enter the metaverse. The brand’s entry comes from a partnership with Bored Ape Yacht Club, Pixel Vault’s Punks comics and GMoney.
The company announced a video showing the three collaborators next to the iconic clover-shaped logo on Twitter. “Today, we jump into the metaverse… it’s time to enter a world of unlimited possibilities.” In addition to the news, the sportswear giant changed its Twitter profile picture with a Bored Ape cartoon character wearing an Adidas sports jacket with the punks Comic and Gmoney logos.

“The Metaverse is the place where anyone can express their most original ideas and their most authentic self, in whatever form they can take,” said the brand. And thanks to blockchain, those pioneers will be able to own a piece of what they create.
Adidas isn’t the only brand to expand into the metaverse. Balenciaga recently announced that it would do the same, while Adidas competitor Nike has already joined.
