Gucci & Balenciaga had already in early April a new co-branded collaboration entitled “Hacker Project”. A project involving the two most interesting creative personalities in fashion aims to explore new stylistic canons and contamination between styles through a new capsule collection.

Iconic is Gucci’s GG logo reworking, transformed into a double B logo, which appears on down jackets, caps, and even socks. The bags have been personalized with graffiti that bears the inscription “This is not a Gucci bag,” and the two brands’ logos are located next to each other on the hourglass dress studded with crystals.

Often, as on the dress embellished with crystals, we find the two logos placed next to each other in a harmonious and elegant way.

Another highlight of the Collection is the return of Balenciaga’s Triple S. For the Hacker Project. The chunky sneaker comes in two colors, each of which shows the two logos characteristic of the Maisons.

The title “Hacker Project” contains the spirit of the Collection. Each Maison sells on its website garments and accessories most commonly associated with the other. The Gucci web store offers garments with Balenciaga floral print and Triple S colors and technical jackets that recall other clothes designed by Demna Gvasalia.

The Balenciaga web store focuses on “This Is Not a Gucci Bag” accessories, as well as the upside-down version of the GG logo.
