After 20 years with Adidas, Jon Wexler VP GM of Yeezy leaves the brand. This his last month with the Three Stripes, which terminated on August 31st. Wexler in the past few years mainly worked on Kanye West’s line, Yeezy, and starting from November 2019 he became the General Manager.
Since he started with Adidas, in the early 2000s, Wex moved from one sector to another inside the company, like Entertainment and Influencer Marketing, bringing the brand to collaborate with people such as Pharrell and Beyoncé. “As my role at Adidas evolved, I tried to help the brand grow via innovative partnerships and transformative collaborations with the world’s most prolific creatives. From the people who gave me my first opportunity here, to all of the incredible people I’ve had the pleasure of working with along the way, there are too many of you to thank – but know that I am deeply grateful for every one of you. I leave the brand with nothing but love for Adidas and the entire extended Adidas family. Very excited for what the next chapter will bring!” said Wex in an Instagram post.
