Back to the origins, commotion, and renovation of identity were the keywords of this great event. As a matter of fact, the show took place inside the Plaza Hotel in New York, where VS had its first fashion show in 1995. Also, on this occasion, we said goodbye to the divine Adriana Lima, who is now 37 years old and spent almost 20 years on VS’s catwalks. As she often did, she ended the show: today, though, she shed some tears while, behind her, they broadcasted a tribute video from the brand to its favourite angel. Gigi Hadid and her sister in a super sexy nude look; and wonderful Elsa Hosk, who was chosen this year to wear the legendary Fantasy Bra, VS’ most famous bra, made with jewels so bright that they could blind both those watching the show from the front row and those who will see pictures and videos of it (also thanks to the show’s lights). This year’s big news was the beauty look: VS abandoned the typical “angel bombshell waves” to make space for fluent and natural hair, super fresh and shiny faces, a glowy hue, made even sexier by a delicate sun-kissed effect, that recreated the atmosphere of a summer’s night. “A soft, dreamy and sun-kissed look”, said Charlotte Tilbury, makeup artist of the show. 2019 underwear colour: no doubt, it’s rose gold.
