With a catastrophic 2020 now (almost) behind us, the time has come to look forward, hoping for a 2021 full of joys. Indeed, it is no coincidence that yesterday the Pantone Color Institute chose the new colors that should best represent serenity and above all trust. Two shades were chosen for the occasion: Illuminating yellow and Ultimate Gray. And it almost seems that Nike has waited for Pantone to become official to present its new Air Jordan 1 High Switch sneakers. Nicknamed “Light Smoke Gray”, the shoe revisits the classic sneakers with a zipper placed on the removable ankle collar, which allows it to be transformed with a simple move, into a low-top silhouette.
The shoe features an upper composed of a delicate gray suede and white leather. In contrast to the minimal upper, a series of yellow laces cover the forefoot. The same yellow tone is also applied to the removable hinges placed at the ankle of the shoe. To complete the sneakers, a classic cream-colored midsole with a retro look, finished in turn by a thin gray sole.
No release date has been revealed so far, but sources suggest the new Air Jordan 1 High Switch will hit the market in early 2021. The same goes for the price list as well.
