Two days after the launch, “Battlefield 2042” won the palm as the game that received in such a short time the most negative reviews on Steam. Over 35,000 reviews arrived in 48 hours, 29,000 of which were crushed.
Scattered maps with little or no coverage, unbalanced and overloaded vehicles, faulty performance, bugs, bullet accuracy issues, a high time to kill, and problematic hitboxes are some of the game’s most significant flaws.
“WhenBattlefield 3 came out, I thought to myself, imagine what Battlefield will be like in ten years,” was written in a review“I didn’t expect it…”
“I’ve played every Battlefield PC game since the original BF1942, and I can say with certainty that this is the absolute worst in the series to date. The problems are endless,” added another player.
Of course, EA and DICE will likely continue to update and tweak Battlefield 2042, given the negative reviews, but players will need to be patient, and all of this will most likely result in a slump in sales.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more information about future fixes, balance changes, and improvements to the gaming experience. In the next 30 days, we have two more updates planned. The next one will include additional fixes and improvements that we identified during the first week of Early Access. Later it will be the turn of a larger and richer update. as stated in a note published by EA.
