A few clues published on social media were enough to confirm the arrival of the new song that Pharrell Williams and Miley created in collaboration.
It was Pharrell who first shared a video of him driving which contained a snippet of the new coming soon track.
The song should be called “Doctor (Work It Out).” and it is in fact not entirely new.
Turns out “Doctor” was produced by Pharrell more than a decade ago for Cyrus’ 2013 album Bangerz. The track, which was never released, was later leaked online in another version in 2017, but never in official way.

In fact, some lines of the song may sound familiar to some where Cyrus sings “I could be your doctor and I could be your nurse/I think I see the problem, it’s only gon’ get worse/The medicine she gave you, well, that will never work.”
The collaborative relationships between the two artists have been going on successfully for many years now. Just think of the track “Come Get It Bae” from the album G I R L S. and Pharrell’s contribution to several songs on Bangerz.
But that is not all. In becoming creative director of Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams certainly did not neglect music. Indeed, it seems that he took his files with him and waited for the perfect moment to let them resurface. Such was the case with “Doctor,” which was recently included in Pharrell’s FW24 men’s show for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week in early January. In a live stream of the House’s presentation of the Autumn-Winter 2024 Men’s Collection, the singer’s unmistakable voice echoed as models walked the labyrinthine catwalk recreated in the Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris.
Parts of the song match the track that appeared online years ago. However, it appears that the recently played version has been rewritten in some areas, refined and completely re-recorded.
With this news we can confirm an excellent year’s opening for the pop star, who took home his first two Grammy Award wins earlier this month. With her No. 1 Hot 100 hit “Flowers”, Miley won Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
