For the first time in history, the exclusive Paris Haute Couture Week goes digital and will be accessible by everyone online. It will take place over three days, from the 6th until the 8th of July, showcasing the Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2020/2021 collections

Each brand will present its collection on a dedicated online platform (at hautecouture.fhcm.paris) and on the different social media platforms of the FHCM (Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Google and Hylink in China). It will also possible to watch it on the dedicated TV channel, ParisFashion launched by Canal + and on Radio Nova. The New York Times will bring us on the backstage of the Haute Couture Week, and a dedicated publication curated by the Institut Français de la Mode will share interviews and the behind-the-scenes of the collections.

As announced by the FHCM, the calendar includes 34 Maisons, and Schiaparelli as always is the first one on the schedule. The brand will present a short film that explains the inspiration behind the collection designed by the Creative Director, Daniel Roseberry.

Of course, the agenda includes names such as  Iris Van Herpen, Christian Dior, Giambattista Valli Ralph&Russo that collaborated with the model-avatar Hauli. The 7th of July is Chanel’s turn, at 12.00: on Instagram, the brand already anticipated some backstage content filmed by Loïc Prigent. Then lastly, Valentino will show the inspiration behind the collection (on the 8th of July at 18.00) that will anticipate the fashion show planned for the 21st of July in Rome

Unfortunately, some big names are missing from the calendar, like Fendi that already announced that it will not take part in the Haute Couture Fashion Week this time and concentrate instead on different projects they’re working on. Another absent is Giorgio Armani, that decided to postpone the Armani Privé Collection in January 2021 and present it in Milan, as well as Balenciaga and Givenchy
