Despite the global pandemic, the MTV VMA 2020 confirmed that “The Show Must Go On”. MTV staged an amazing show where some of the most famous names of the star system showed off their looks on the red carpet, starting from the queen of the night Lady Gaga, that changed her outfits multiple times during the show.
Live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on the 30th of August 2020, MTV held its annual Video Awards, this time hosted by the singer and actress Keke Palmer. With her 5 awards, Lady Gaga was the most awarded artist of the night. Thanks to her collaboration with Ariana Grande, “Rain On Me”, she won Song of The Year and Best Collaboration. The Best Video Award went to Blinding Lights by The Weeknd. Among the other winners, Machine Gun Kelly won his first Moon Person for Best Alternative with “Bloody Valentine“, while BTS won Best Group for the second year in a row. The Bangtan Boys won in other categories, like Best Pop. Justin Bieber, Maluma, Doja Cat and Miley Cyrus joined this special event, and Miley celebrated for the 7th anniversary of Wrecking Ball with a special performance of her latest single, Midnight Sky while riding a disco ball.
The red carpet was one of the most loved moments from the people, even with some restrictions, it didn’t disappoint us at all.
