Louis Vuitton enters the fashion-tech market by announcing the creation of a new line of wireless earphones in collaboration with Master & Dynamic, one of the leading companies in the sector.
Apparently the luxury market is never in crisis and that of wireless earphones even less: in 2019 the sector recorded an increase of almost 200% compared to the previous year and Apple announced that it had sold over 60 million Airpods all over the world.
Numbers that make us easily understand the reasons that pushed the French fashion house to venture into this sector by aiming for a high-end market. The true wireless Horizon earphones by Louis Vuitton are in fact on sale on the American market for just over 1000 dollars (980 euros), a price not really affordable for all budgets.
The product is an upgrade of the Horizon earphones by Master & Dynamic and Louis Vuitton model launched last year and in reality, on a technical level, it does not differ much from the basic model MW07 sold at around 280 euros from the same manufacturer.
The technical characteristics are in fact very similar: the earphones weigh about 9 grams each and are equipped with a double omnidirectional microphone designed to offer a clear and clean sound thanks to the most modern noise cancellation devices they are equipped with.
The devices use bluetooth 5.0 technology and with their beryllium drivers of only 10 mm they are able to resist water (IPX5 certification). Battery autonomy allows you to listen to up to 10 hours of music on a single charge and the case guarantees two further full recharges, for a total of 30 hours of listening.
The earphones are available in 5 different colors (white, black, red, pink, yellow fluo) and all feature the Louis Vuitton monogram, embellished with the floral motifs typical of the maison and the iconic LV initials made with contrasting metal finishes.
The case is made of polished, sandblasted stainless steel with PVD coating weighing about 100 grams and is covered with a sapphire glass cover, now available with a new graphite color shade that recalls the design of the Tambour Horizon smart-watch produced by the same company.
