Lucien Clarke showed off on Instagram the first-ever pair of Louis Vuitton skate shoes. The sneakers, that still don’t have an official name, was designed by Clarke and Virgil Abloh, accompanied by an adv campaign featured on Thrasher Magazine.
It’s not the first time that the skater and Abloh collab: Clarke was already the face of the Louis Vuitton Staples Edition Collection in May 2019 and walked in the fashion show of the first Louis Vuitton collection of the designer in 2018. This collaboration creates a bridge between luxury fashion and the skate world, that until now were consolidated by Palace and Supreme. The sneakers feature a suede and mesh material in black and orange, a translucid sole, “Clarke” printed on one side and LV logo on the tongue. They also have the potential to redefine our idea of luxury and the union of high fashion and street style.
