After the culinary world, Louis Vuitton launches into the world of gaming, following in the footsteps of other brands such as Gucci. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Louis Vuitton has decided to go big. In recent days, it has announced the release of a video game, a novel, and a documentary on Apple T.V., social activations, and many other initiatives. Renamed Louis 200, the initiative will kick off on August 4 with the release of the Louis: The Game mobile videogame. It will be possible to admire the famous LV trunks revisited by 200 artists from different backgrounds and disciplines in some selected stores. We will go from the illustrator Jean-Philippe Delhomme to the architect Peter Marino.
Caroline Brognard is instead the author of the Louis Vuitton novel, L’Audacieux, expected in French in October and in English in November. The following month, the documentary Looking for Louis, focusing on Vuitton’s first steps in the world of fashion, will arrive on Apple T.V.’s Explore channel. Among the other planned initiatives, there will also be a triptych made by the artist Alex Katz. And last but not least, a “cuvée spéciale” from the Champagne brand, owned by LVMH, Veuve Clicquot.
Arrived in Paris to become an apprentice of the renowned manufacturer and packer of trunks Romain Maréchal, the history of the brand still represents a virtuous example for anyone who wants to approach the world of fashion: from the need to take risks to create an empire capable of growing from generation to generation.
The first mobile video game is called “Louis: The Game”, and will be downloadable from August 4 on the occasion of the 200th birthday of the homonymous founder!
