After the recent controversy that involved one of their models, Gucci makes a comeback. The Italian brand is the main partner of the Quadriennale D’arte 2020 and decided to gives the possibility to everyone to visit the event for free. The Quadriennale will start on October 29th at the Palazzo Delle Esposizioni and the decision was taken by the creative director of the brand, Alessandro Michele. The idea, as explained by the organizers of the event is of a big Italian celebration of the arts, accessible by everybody to remember that culture gives hope, especially in these difficult times.
Curated by Sarah Cosulich and Stefano Collicelli Cagol, FUORI rewrites Italian art throughout a narration that connects various media and mediums, featuring the work of 43 artists, from the vanguards of the 60s until today. From the feminists and queer perspective to the representation of surrealism, the exhibition focus on obsession and creation. A journey that explores desire in every shape, from Sylvano Bussotti to Anna Franceschini, from Lisetta Carmi to Isabella Costabile, artists from different generations but united by the same desires.
Throughout this partnership, Gucci will give the possibility to the public to visit for free the exhibition, from the opening until the last day, the 17th of January 2021.
