GRINKO: DARK GOTH DOLLS AND LUXURIOUS ACTIVEWEAR

The Milan Fashion week was inaugurated by Grinko, with the collection “The House of Dolls”. Despite its name, this super original collection resembles a London punk scene much more than the refined atmosphere of a doll house.

No pastel colors and no marshmallows for Grinko: the atmosphere is definitely gothic and the style is partly influenced by Dior, which manages to add complexity and allure.

The main colors are black, blue and grey. The fundamental idea is based on the image of a confident woman, that wears luxurious, elegant and chic activewear with nonchalance and originality.

Therefore the cut is sporty, but mixed with techno-punk aspects. On the catwalk, it is possible to admire leather pants, loose jumpers, shorts, shirts and long  trenches and the absolute focus is on belts and buckles.

Your must-have accessory: the beret. The show had its happy ending, thanks to the final incredible models: Emma and Sophia, the two young babies that Sergei Grinko and Filippo Cocchetti, that are both work and life partners, just had thanks to heterologus fecondation.

The two fashion designers were the last ones to walk, holding in their arms the babies, that were wearing elegant black capes. Somebody had probably already imagined that conclusion, since the invite cards represented an ultrasound display. Very good!
