“It is an exchange rather than collaboration and, above all, an act of friendship. It’s the beauty of being together after so long apart to celebrate the women who have always been inspiring to me,” said Kim Jones. At the same time, Donatella Versace added: “The campaign captured the same sense of friendship and energy we had when designing the collection. Kim is a visionary designer and innovator. To me, ‘Fendace’ will always mean love.”
The images, taken by Steven Meisel, see models Adut Akech, Anok Yai, Imaan Hammam, Naomi Campbell, Kristen McMenamy, and others wearing “Fendi by Versace” and “Versace by Fendi” garments as they enter the “Fendace nightclub”. Highlights include Peekaboo and Baguette infused with Versace motifs and the updated La Medusa bag with Fendi’s FF logo.
The “Fendace” collection will be officially launched on May 12 at pop-ups and global events hosted by Fendi and Versace in New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, London, Tokyo, and more.
