Running out of ideas for your Christmas wishlist? Tiffany arrives just in time with a line that really no one would have expected.
The jewelry brand is in fact collaborating with Daniel Arsham for a collection inspired by one of the most iconic franchises of all time: Pokémon.
The Arsham Studio x Tiffany x Pokémon collection includes creations in oxidized sterling silver and pendants representing the most legendary and famous Pokémon creatures, including Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Cubone, Mew and, of course, Pikachu. That is to say only the first generation of Pokémon.
“We partnered to re-contextualize iconic Pokémon from the beloved Japanese entertainment brand into a jewelry capsule collection expressed in my Future Relics’ aesthetic,” said the jewelry designer in an interview.
All the Pokémon pendants, result of this legendary collaboration, are characterized by diamonds and small references to Arsham’s typical “erosion” technique, the same that also featured his other previous works for Tiffany.
For Pikachu, being the most popular Pokémon, Arsham and Tiffany thought of a more special design. The artist has in fact designed two other pendants and necklaces in 18k yellow gold made according to the high standards typical of Tiffany, recreating Pikachu’s bright yellow fur.
The Daniel Arsham x Tiffany x Pokemon collection couldn’t be complete without a Tiffany blue Pokéball case, which only comes with gold Pikachu charms. A real collector’s item for fans of these two brands.
The other silver jewels in the collection are instead enclosed in a classic Tiffany box, with a design specifically dedicated to this collaboration.
The Arsham Studio x Tiffany x Pokémon collection will only be available for a limited time through Tiffany & Co., with prices ranging from $1,290 USD to $29,000 USD. It also seems that buyers will have the chance to enter three separate drawings (one per model) starting November 29th.
The capsule collection will launch in full in December at the Tiffany & Co. Landmark store in New York City, on the Tiffany website and at the Tiffany Omotesando store in Tokyo.
