There are just a few days left until the launch of the Stan Smith shoes protagonist of the latest collaboration between Adidas Originals and BAPE, a drop that combines the unmistakable streetwear style of the Japanese brand with sustainability.
This brand new pair of sneakers will be characterized by the Cloud Camo print, now an unmistakable synonym of the streetwear label.
For the two brands, this is certainly not the first collaboration done together (the pair’s debut dates back to 2003) and despite this, BAPE had never proposed an adidas sneaker covered with its iconic camouflage graphics. At least so far!
Designed on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the streetwear brand founded by NIGO, the BAPE x Adidas Originals Stan Smith not only features the celebratory Camo pattern, but also includes other innovative details such as a special edition golden deubré and the co-branded logo on the tongue.
There are also all the other features we expect from a traditional adidas Originals Stan Smith – synthetic leather upper, thick white midsole, textile lining, the iconic perforated 3-Stripes and gold foil branding.
These limited edition sneakers are also made with a durable rubber sole, celebrated for decades for its performance in sports and then adapted for contemporary and casual wear.
Despite maintaining its historic silhouette, BAPE’s latest Adidas Stan Smith is perhaps its most extravagant to date.
Furthermore, the shoes are designed taking into consideration not only the aesthetic aspect but also that of respect for the environment. Each pair of sneakers is in fact made with at least 20% recycled materials, underlining adidas’ commitment to reducing waste and promoting the use of sustainable resources.
The collaboration is also completed by two sets of different laces in order to allow a personalized style and adapt each pair to the preferences of the wearer.
The BAPE x Adidas Originals Stan Smith limited edition sneakers will release on February 10th and will initially be available for purchase, priced at $160 USD, exclusively on the adidas app.
