After a series of speculations and bets, that started following the discovery of a street work that appeared last Tuesday on the wall of a hairdresser in the city of Nottingham, Banksy claimed its authorship on Instagram. The black and white mural shows a young girl having fun with a hula hoop made from a bicycle tire, a reminder to serenity necessary in these dramatic days that see the UK at the centre of the covid-19 pandemic due to their high number of victims.
Local authorities already covered the work with a clear plastic film to protect it. Recently Bansky lost the legal battle in which he claimed the intellectual property of “Flower Thrower“.
