Alexander McQueen’s iconic oversized sneaker has appeared in many bold ways. After the success of the first edition in the white version with the high sole, in February of this year the maison proposed the reinterpretation of the model with a 3D effect, but now the British label takes a further step forward, thanks to the use of an all-over marker.
The craze of coloring with markers became popular in 2018 as artists and the general public began customizing their sneakers and more with black paint by adding black outlines. Today, Alexander McQueen wakes up this trend with his latest oversized sneaker, which sees the premium white leather covered with black contours, detailing the classic shapes found throughout its design.
The black lines detail everything: from the holes on the central panel to the laces and sole, giving the sneakers a cartoon-like aesthetic. In contrast to the do-it-yourself finish, the label has added its moniker to the tongue and to the heel tab in silver, highlighting the sophisticated serif font it uses.
