Among the various ways to keep in shape and work for our wealth, sport trend-setters are giving visibility to an incredibly activity, complete for our body and inspirational for our psyche: trail running. I’m referring to a running activity that is practised among nature, usually on mountain or park trails, in deserts or woods, on planes or hills, in order to walk on floors or asphalt for not more than 20% of the path. This kind of running owns all the ingredients to represent an actual challenge for the most trained athletes: as a matter of fact a trail runner needs to combine speed, power and physical resistance.
On the other hand, though, this sport is also perfect for less trained people who love running and want to do it with more discipline. Here, clothing is fundamental for the best result. First of all, you need to think about your shoes: running on mountain trails is not the same thing as running on asphalt. The right model should protect your foot, sustaining it and giving it better adherence. Jackets instead should allow transpiration, be hydro-repellent, keep your body warm and get dry fast. Each piece has to be chosen according to the weather forecast and the physical state of the runner.
