The new 16 bags by Celine it’s already the most awaited accessory of the season. Hedi Slimane presented for the Celine Pre-Fall 2020 collection a softer version of the iconic 16 Bag, that reminds a typical weekend bag but way chicer. The Celine 16 Soft (the names come from the Parisian address of the Maison: Hôtel Colbert, 16 rue Vivienne) is characterized by an elegant rectangular shape with a swivel closure in gold metal with handles that allows you to carry it on your shoulder. Is made out of soft calfskin, smooth or garnet, and features two compartments and an inside pocket which makes it perfect for daily use or for the weekends.
At the moment, the Celine 16 Soft bag is available in a delicate colour palette. from khaki to burgundy, including some classic colours grey and black. Celine announced that the bag can be purchased exclusively on their e-commerce, celine.com, or in selected boutiques: Paris Montaigne, Paris Bon Marché, Milan Montenapoleone, New York Madison, New York SoHo, Los Angeles Beverly Hills, Tokyo Omotesando and Ginza G6.
The 16 Bag was introduced for the first time by Hedi Slimane in 2018 for his debut collection for Celine and is loved by many celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Hailey Bieber, Kaia Gerber and Lady Gaga, that was the first one to showcase it during a visit to the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Hedi Slimane recently decided to create new fragrances for the Maison, and last year after 50 years, not only he introduced 11 unisex fragrances but also inaugurated a dedicated boutique: the Celine Boutique Haute Parfumerie.
