The latest addition to the Tod’s family comes from the other part of the world, from Japan. It’s called Mame Kurogouchi and the collaboration was born under the aegis of T Factory, Tod’s creative laboratory where innovative and unconventional projects are born in collaboration with stylists and artists from the world of luxury and creativity, invited to enter and, to to freely interpret, in the iconographic heritage, in the Italian artisan excellence and in the know-how of the brand.
The principles of an easier and more elegant daily life have been applied by Mame to a vast capsule collection of clothes, outerwear, shoes and bags with soft lines that are all inside the iconic Tod’s D-Styling bag, but that the designer has transformed into a bag, to meet the needs of a week or a day of travel. The colors are soft, ranging from light beige to blue and black. Timeless colors of elegance. The leitmotif of the collection is given by Italian craftsmanship, perfectly blended with the Japanese tradition. A tradition that of Japan that perhaps we would also find in Jean Paul Gaultier’s haute couture 2020 fashion shows, after the choice of Chitose Abe as a designer outside the maison to collaborate for the creation of the next collection.
The collection can already be purchased on the Tod’s website.
