When it comes to winning partnerships, Jacquemus and Nike never disappoint.

From their long-standing relationship, which began in 2018, they have always created products destined to flood our social feeds with their unmistakably catchy style.

Just last year, designer Simon Porte de Jacquemus collaborated prolifically with the sportswear brand with a footwear fusion of the Air Force 1 and ACG Terra, dubbed the Nike J Force 1; and just last month it revealed two collaborative colorways for the Air Max 1 ’86.

After their multiple collaborations in the sneaker and clothing sectors, the two brands finally offer us a new bag.

Now it’s the turn of Nike’s iconic symbol, the Swoosh, to be transformed into an accessory by Jacquemus.

The French fashion brand has indeed cleverly molded the iconography of the sportswear giant into a black leather shoulder bag, revealed for the first time via Jacquemus’ Instagram on Wednesday.

The Swoosh Bag exudes Jacquemus’ minimal aesthetic from every pore and presents itself simply as it is described on its packaging: a new bag in the shape of Nike’s iconic Swoosh.

Equipped with an adjustable shoulder strap, the bag features the silver Jacquemus logo in the lower central part and will also be available in 3 other colors (white, dark pink and brown).

Given its rigid silhouette, the emblematic accessory has a very compact appearance and capacity. The bag obviously features a zipper that runs across the top of the Swoosh.

“THE SWOOSH BAG. THIS MONDAY. JACQUEMUS + NIKE COLLECTION GUESS WHO IS THE FACE?” cites the teaser image of the bag published on Jacquemus’ official Instagram profile. The photo only shows the arm and hand holding the bag. Judging by her signature acrylic nails and familiar forearm tattoo, fans have easily surmised that the campaign will feature the fastest woman in the world: American track and field star, Sha’Carri Richardson. Although Jacquemus did not confirm that it was her, the riddle jokingly proposed by the brand was easy to solve.

“The Swoosh Bag” by Jacquemus and Nike will be launched on Monday 26 February at the price of €420 EUR, but to buy it you will have to run faster than Richardson. Registrations are currently open on the Jacquemus webstore and even if the bag is not yet officially on sale, it is already practically sold-out.
