The Met Gala or Met Ball is the most awaited event by celebrities and fashion enthusiasts. The event, sponsored by the Met and Vogue America, under the creative direction of Anna Wintour has become the most fashionable charity event in the world. Every year there is a different theme which is approached in a unique and creatives way by fashion designers and interpreted by the celebrities that they chose as their muses.
Even if the event, that was supposed to take place today, was cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic, from this afternoon Vogue America YouTube Channel will stream a marathon dedicated to the Met Gala. Starting with some of the best looks from the past editions, they will be followed by the special event “A Moment With the Met” (6 PM EDT) and “Everything You Need to Know About the Met Gala”. Tomorrow, May 5th, the channel will share some footage from the previous Met Gala.“Liza Koshy’s Best Red Carpet Moments” (10 AM EDT) is the first event scheduled for the day, followed by a special on the supermodel, Naomi Campbell: “Life in Looks: Naomi Campbell”, “Met Oral History: Liv Tyler and Stella McCartney” and at 3 PM EDT “Met Oral History: Cardi B and Jeremy Scott“. A social live performance by Florence and the Machine and a DJ set from the designer Virgil Abloh is also on the schedule. Meanwhile, on Instagram is still taking place the challenge organized by Vogue America and the actor Billy Poter, #MetGalaChallenge.
