The very exclusive Dsquared2 capsule collection featuring Manchester city has just been released. The well-known fashion brand, founded by Dean and Dan Caten, which for seven years created the pre-match uniforms for Manchester City players and their manager Pep Guardiola, has decided to celebrate its long-standing partnership with the English football club by designing a limited series of prêt-à-porter garments and accessories with the team crest together with the brand logo.
The collection includes various items with an essential color palette, mainly in black, and with a sporty and modern cut. Of course, denim garments, caps and outerwear products cannot be missing. The writing “Dsquared2 for Manchester City Limited Edit” in white on a black base characterizes the entire collection with a minimal and characteristic look of the Dsquared2 brand. In fact, it is found printed in white on the back of the black tailored jacket with a split vent, down the front of a blue denim shirt and jeans, on a black crewneck knit and a baseball cap, as well as on the tongue of the black lace-up boots.
While the black bomber jacket, black straight-fit jeans, jumper, beanie, baseball cap and backpack are detailed with a ship and diagonal stripes and the Manchester City circular crest printed in white.
Completing the capsule is a pair of low top black leather sneakers printed with the Manchester City logo in white on the back.
The partnership with Manchester City is not Dsquared2’s first in football. In 2006, the two Canadian designers were the authors of the official kits of the Italian Juventus Football Club and in 2009 they signed the off-field clothing for the FC Barcelona team. Also not to be overlooked is the “Black on Black” collection, created by the brand and codesigned with AC Milan football star Zlatan Ibrahimović last year.
With a starting price of around 200 euros, the latest capsule collection Dsquared2 for Manchester city comes with a special tag and internal label. Furthermore, the campaign dedicated to this collection of limited pieces could only include the key stars of the Manchester team, including Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez, Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias.
