Silk is a delicate and antique fabric imported by China and for decades is the number one material chosen for bras, slips and baby dolls, that wraps our bodies while we lounge and sleep. There’s just one problem, you can’t wash it in the washing machine and have to be really careful while you hand wash it. But technology and innovation allowed the creation of a type of silk that doesn’t suffer the stress of the washing machine that caught the attention of the lingerie brand, La Perla. The Creative Director of the brand, Alessandra Bertuzzi, created a new collection, DREAMCATCHER, all made with this new washable silk.
Without losing the quality for which La Perla is known for, this special silk was treated with a special technology that allows the pieces to be washed in the washing machine without becoming smaller or losing their luminous effect.
