Paolo Pecora Milano, for their autumn/winter 20/21 collection, turns back his focus on knitwear, which is at the roots of the heritage of the Milanese brand specialized in men’s and children’s clothing Made in Italy, which combines production skills and creativity.
“Everything starts from the yarn” is their family motto, and the real protagonist of the collection is the knit: high-quality manufacturing, handmade, craftsmanship, attention to details and the materials, research for the best yarns. This season, knitwear represents the highlight Paolo Pecora’s work, designer of the homonymous brand, with a minimal design, irregular stitching, soft merino wool, worked with stripes and sober lozenges, with jacquard inserts.
Paolo Pecora’s sweaters are designed for a contemporary men’s wardrobe with a formal but relaxed aesthetic, featuring unusual details that combine the taste of two generations. The brand looks at two opposites directions, father and son, reconstructing and deconstructing different memories. The colour palette is autumnal featuring argyle crewneck made of combed and carded yarns, with patchwork details. A similar technique is used for the striped sweater, featuring net patchwork jacquard, fuzzy yarns, inlays with stripes and craft imbalances.
The chalk-coloured merino wool turtleneck, with chunky details and an all-over braid pattern, as well as the black turtleneck with patchwork, weaves and chunky braids, are both inspired by the classic Nordic style. A monochromatic background and patterns, the comfort of high-quality knitwear is a real must-have trend for the autumn and winter. Sartorial products and timeless products of the highest quality, this is Paolo Pecora.
