During this period of self-isolation, the young designer Nicole Mclaughlin worked on the last months on a series of looks, from up to the toe, all made with everyday items. Cereal boxes, hoven gloves, old sneakers, they’re all objects that anyone has in their home. Nicole innovatively used them, to make pockets, zip, secrets inserts, some solution were made with pencil cases and sharpeners.

The materials were all second-hand, which demonstrates once again how sustainability can stimulate our creativity and bring to life interesting, fresh and personal objects. A mix of materials that gives her designs an amazing appeal. An original idea that was noticed by the French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, that shared Nicole’s shots on his Instagram account (in one of them are featured his famous mini bags, Le SacChiquito).
