Lego further consolidates its relationship with the automotive world by paying homage to two iconic Porsche models, the 911 Turbo and the 911 Targa. It is a “two in one” set, so the user can decide which variant to build: the 911 Turbo with a fixed roof or the 911 Targa. The two models have been recreated down to the smallest detail: from the aerodynamic line that crosses the bonnet to the Boxer engine on the back of the cars. Doing justice to the iconic design of the two flagship sports cars of the German house between the seventies and eighties.
The details are manic. In addition to those listed above, there is no shortage of reclining front seats and fixed rear seats. Both, along with the dashboard, are in orange. Then we have the active steering, the gearbox, and the handbrake. The body is a milky white color, the wing, and tires in black, and the roof is completely removable. It is indeed possible to store it under the hood.
The set consists of 1,458 bricks. The model is 35.5 cm long, 10.8 cm high, 16 cm wide. The selling price is €129. The set will be available from February 16 for LEGO VIP members, while everyone else will have to wait until March 1. Lego has also seen fit to pay homage to the first buyers with a specific kit that includes a certificate of ownership, an official Lego Porsche car holder, and four prints inspired by 911 advertisements.
But it doesn’t stop there. On the Lego website and in the stores, you can find the new Botanical sets. Designed not only to decorate our apartments but also to relax by freeing our imagination.
