Burberry amazes me once again.
After the very recent collaboration with Supreme, of which we have revealed prices and capsule collections, Riccardo Tisci is still talking about himself by calling the rapper Mahmood to present the autumn/winter 2022 collection.
Once again, a touch of contemporaneity.
“I wanted this collection to convey that intensity of feeling and celebrate not only the meeting but the city where we find ourselves today, the city where Burberry grew up and founded a family,” said Riccardo Tisci.
The collection is divided into two distinct phases: the first is dedicated to a more street man who is decisive and fluid at the same time; the second is instead focused on a soul who dreams of couture while not wanting to give up a rebellious and nonconformist style.
Then the icons of the Maison are desecrated and reworked, bringing chaos into tradition: the Equestrian Knight Design is proposed oversized or encrusted with crystals, the trench coat turns into something completely new, and the kilt becomes darker than ever. Mahmood is also on the runway, wearing a revisited rugby polo shirt, a pair of corset pants with a very high waist, and a bag with the watch placed on the shoulder strap.
