Nine months ago Louis Vuitton announced their partnership with the NBA throughout an exclusive event in Paris. Since then, the hype increased thanks to many leaks and rumours, up until today, when the collection was finally revealed. With the victory of the Lakers a few days ago, the brand took the chance to finally present their hard work. First with the special trunk made for Larry O’Brien’s trophy that represent the brand’s tradition and their evolution.
And then Louis Vuitton revealed what the fans were truly waiting for, the look book of the limit edition collection designed by Virgil Abloh. The looks lived up to the expectations and the line is exactly what we wanted. An exclusive mix of two worlds, sports and high-fashion, translated into a series of sartorial dresses and streetwear elements, the pattern featuring the outline of Jerry West and details inspired by basketball. The jewellery are inspired by hip-hop culture, including a series of sneakers, bags and leather accessories featuring the co-branding logo and a themed colour palette.
Lastly, the most special piece is a mini wardrobe, featuring the LV monogram, curated in every single detail by the artisans of the brand, perfect to show off your sneakers collection.
The Louis Vuitton x NBA collection will be available from November 20th in selected Louis Vuitton boutique and online.
