Levi’s presents the new Wellthread collection. The line is made of “cottonised hemp“, an innovative fiber obtained from hemp, used by Levi’s for the first time a year ago, which gives life to sustainable jeans and garments.
Sustainability is the key to Wellthread: all the materials used for production are designed to be recycled and the production of the garments takes place in companies attentive to the well-being of the workers.
The new SS 2020 collection includes essential items for women and men with a comfy fit and the unmistakable casual style of Levi’s. In addition to jeans and denim jackets, the line includes jersey printed T-shirts and soft oversized hoodies. The jeans for men are the 502 Taper slim or standard (narrow at the ankle), while the high-waisted women’s models are in short or palazzo versions.
“For us, carefully designing means considering conserving water when choosing our materials, making every garment that can be recycled and choosing factories that value our workers and communities“, commented Una Murphy, Senior Innovation Designer Levi’s.
