The fashion industry is always full of surprises, and even now, in the middle of the Milan Fashion Week, Gucci was able to catch everyone’s attention with an unexpected announcement. The brand revealed its new upcoming collaboration with The North Face. The announcement came on Gucci’s Instagram and TikTok page with a video that portrays a flag in the middle of the mountains with the co-branding featured on it. No more details, just one promise, that the collection will be released in the upcoming months.
Gucci commented with WWD that the collaboration will celebrate “the rich heritage of both brands”. A heritage that in the case of The North Face already dipped its toes in the luxury world with collaborations that involved Supreme, Junya Watanabe and Sacai, as well as MM6 Maison Margiela last February. We’re curious to find out how the Gucci’s world of Alessandro Michele can mix with the utility aesthetic of The North Face. The result will probably be one of the most surprising collaborations of the last few years, considering that both brands are incredibly popular within their sector.
