The closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics was a succession of spectacular moments – Tom Cruise lowering himself from the roof of the French national stadium to collect the Olympic flag is one of them – but the looks and fashion moments of the event are certainly not less worthy.
LVMH involved its best-known fashion houses to dress the headliners of Sunday’s historic event, which was packed with performances and appearances. The French luxury conglomerate is the main partner of the games and its maisons were omnipresent in Paris until the inevitable closing ceremony.

For example, the ensembles of the French tenor Benjamin Bernheim who sang “Hymn to Apollo” and that of the French singer-songwriter Yseult who interpreted Claude François’ classic “My Way” to close the show were signed by Dior.
With a refined Louis Vuitton look composed of a black bodysuit, a two-tone silk skirt and a pair of black leather derby shoes, the French singer Zaho de Sagazan enchanted the Tuileries Gardens performing “Sous le Ciel de Paris” by Edith Piaf. French swimmer Léon Marchand, who won four gold medals and one bronze this year, then carried the torch from the cauldron at the Stade de France sporting a black Louis Vuitton tuxedo.

Among the most stylish protagonists of the evening there is undoubtedly the Golden Voyager, a character dressed in a splendid golden costume with alien-like antennas, who mysteriously descended from the top of the stadium, then performed an interpretative dance surrounded by smoke.
Designed by Celine were the elegant looks of the French rock band Phoenix, who performed hits such as “Lisztomania” and “1901” in front of an audience of 80,000 people.
As mentioned, Tom Cruise performed a very Hollywood stunt during the ceremony, flying to grab the flag and then fleeing on a motorbike. The broadcast then transitioned to a pre-recorded segment showing the Mission Impossible star delivering the flag in Los Angeles.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre then performed live at the delivery celebration in Venice Beach. (L.A. will host the Olympics in 2028.)
Billy Eilish, together with her brother and music producer Finneas, was appropriately dressed in a preppy Ralph Lauren look, the American designer who created all the uniforms for Team USA this year.
