This is for sure an event that can make any girl dream a little bit. Even just for the fact that the beautiful models walked the catwalk in a church. As long as I know this was the first time that someone had such a brilliant idea (in particular who had the idea was the great fashion producer Antonio Falanga). Moreover, we’re not talking about a simple church, but the “Chiesa Episcopale di San Paolo Entro le Mura” in via Nazionale, a precious architecture jewel that dates back to the 19th century (even though the façade is Romanesque) and is located in one of the most important streets in Rome.
On the catwalk we have the refined maison Gemelle Donato, from Sicily, the prestigious Atelier Barbara Montagnoli and the log-awaited collection by Gian Paolo Zuccarello. Among the new talents, Beatrice del Conte, who’s inspired by lotus flowers, and the Atelier Menì’s capusule collection by Mauro Menichino. There’s no shortage of jewels, with the beautiful creations by Sefora DAISY Collection. And for brides who opt for a non religious rite there is the fashion line “Smoking” by Good Luck.
Not only was it an occasion to admire the Italian excellences in such an elitist sector (which moreover is not ease to follow), but also I had the chance to get in touch with the new talents that have lately brought ideas and changes in the Italian haute-couture world. Thus, journalists, hair stylists, look makers, press officers, fashion stylers, testimonials, fashion academies and institutions. Really great hosts. I’m thinking in particular to the wonderful actress Elisabetta Pellini, so nice and friendly as usual.
The event was incredibly successful and even moving, at some points. Other than incredible dresses, I could admire the professionalism of the organizers, which as you know is one of the aspects I mostly care about. A lot of compliments to the host Cinzia Malvini, the Together Events company and to Grazia Marino’s P&G Events. Now there’s just one more “tiny” step I have to make: get married.
Ora devo solo compiere il piccolo, insignificante passo successivo: sposarmi.
