On the evening of November 17, the Dolby Theater in Hollywood (Los Angeles) was the stage for the 2024 edition of the Governors Awards, the prestigious event organized annually by the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
The evening is considered the first important stage of the Oscar race and every year honors the exceptional contribution of cinema’s most beloved personalities around the world by giving them various awards.
This year’s Academy Honorary Awards were assigned to Quincy Jones and Juliet Taylor for their contributions to the film industry while producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were honored with the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award for their work of high-quality production, particularly in the James Bond series. Richard Curtis was awarded with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for his extensive charitable efforts.
Born as an opportunity to announce honorary awards to industry legends, this annual event is also known for its red carpet, which always represents a perfect mashup of elegance and glamorous moments.
The red carpet of the 2024 Governors Awards gathered a lot of actresses and actors at the Grand Ballroom of the Hollywood and Highland Center.
