Kylie Jenner, reality star and beauty mogul is now adding the role of creative director and owner of a clothing brand to her resume, or so it seems.
It was a post published on October 24th, where @KHY is tagged, that generated mass curiosity about the entrepreneur’s next move.
From the enigmatic teasers that Kylie and KHY have uploaded on Instagram in the last few hours, it can be deduced that the social media star is launching her new brand and that it is clothing. In particular, the photo that portrays her sitting on the ground in a black leather trench coat and red stilettos with the caption “meet khy” and the link to the website confirm that the brand will soon make its debut. Meanwhile, KHY ‘s mysterious website is encouraging users to enter their email address so they can “register for access” when Kylie’s brand launches.
For the rest, not much has yet been made clear about the type of clothing that Jenner hopes to sell, its price or the production characteristics of the company.
It has even been hypothesized that it is just a jewelry brand.
In May 2023, Kylie and K Brand, Inc. registered the trademarks KHY and KHY Studios which exclusively covered jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, rings, and body jewelry.
In fact, KHY’s website doesn’t specify whether the products it will soon sell will include clothes and shoes but all the evidence seems to lead back there.
Actually, it would be a more than reasonable choice with impeccable timing.
Despite the skeptics among fashion industry enthusiasts who question the actual need to found another brand headed by a Kardashian mogul (“Why KHY” is one of the mottos that is going viral), lately the influence of Jenner in the fashion system is undeniable.
The star has positioned herself at the top of the fashion world: in the front row and dressed for the fashion shows of giants such as Schiaparelli and Prada, posing for Acne Studios and appearing with increasingly sophisticated looks on the red carpets of the most exclusive events. In a way, it makes sense that her next capitalist venture would fall into the realm of clothing.
KHY also appears to be a higher offering than the Kardashian sisters’ other brands, such as Kylie’s own Kylie Cosmetics and Kim’s SKIMS.
If so, Kylie could become the first Jenner-Kardashian to offer a “high fashion” product.
