Gucci, one of the most iconic fashion brands globally, has decided to take a further step in the world of gaming. After several collaborations presented over the last few years – from reselling on Roblox, to the capsule with Pokemon Go- sempre limited to telling the Gucci lifestyle and taste by bringing it closer to the world of the youngest, this time Gucci launches into a decidedly deeper initiative, going to support firsthand the growth of young competitive talents together with a consolidated reality like Faceit. To do this, Gucci and Faceit have launched the Gucci Gaming Academy, the first program created by a brand from the world of luxury that aims to provide support and empower young esports talents, starting with Counter-Strike: Go.
Nicolas Oudinot, EVP of New Business and Gucci Vault CEO, said: “Gucci was among the first companies in the luxury sector to enter the world of gaming. In line with our philosophy of building authentic, meaningful relationships with gaming communities, we want to help young esports talent meet the challenges facing them on their way to a professional career. At the heart of our collaboration is the desire to understand directly from the players the issues they face and help them on this journey.”
