The Nike Dunk and the classic version in black and white will also be released in blue laser for next spring/summer.

A bold coloring stands out even more on the upper and the parts in white.

The Dunk was born in 1985 when Nike was about ten years old. They were born basketball shoes, like many other silhouettes. Still, they would quickly impose themselves to attract different worlds and at the same time unite by a similar spirit: sport, streetwear, skateboarding, rap, and hip hop culture in a broad sense. The popularity of basketball in the 80s was rising sharply. The Dunks were different from how we know them today: the first model was high and followed a bit the aesthetic trail of the Air Force, launched three years earlier. The Dunk’s sole echoed the design of the Air Jordan I, always designed by Moore’s visionary talent. The upper resumed, finally, that of the Nike Terminator.

The Nike Dunk in laser blue will be sold for $110 on Nike’s official website.
