Netflix partnered with Candy Digital to produce a series of NFT collectibles from Stranger Things. The first collection will be available on Thursday, July 14 and features 17 different characters from the fourth season of the original Netflix.
In the first version, a total of 11,111 tokens will be available with fan favorites including Eleven, Dustin and Max. Of all the characters, Eleven will have the most limited edition with only 223 NFT total available. The artistic composition of digital collectibles looks like a dynamic poster-style artwork.
Interested collectors can buy the NFT from 14:00 ET, from Thursday, July 14 to Tuesday, July 21 on netflix.candy.com.
Earlier in the week Candy launched a Premint lottery to which members of specific NFT communities such as Adam Bomb Squad , RTFKT , Doodles and others could join to have a chance for early access.
“Our collaboration with Netflix shows Candy Digital’s commitment to expanding and deepening the ways fans interact with the content, characters, and stories they’re passionate about,” said Scott Lawin, CEO of Candy Digital.
The two brands also shared that they are committed to producing environmentally friendly collectibles and that every digital resource will be minted on the Palm blockchain, an ethereum-based side chain that has a carbon footprint close to 0%.
The collectibles “The Upside Down Series” that make up the first drop will be priced at $11 USD for individual mysterious boxes and $275 USD for “Hell Fire Club Bundle” which includes all 17 character posters.
In addition to this first collection, it is said that other collectibles from the fourth season of Stranger Things are in the works for later versions this summer and in November for Stranger Things Day.
