Nike has teamed up with Swarovski to bring just the right amount of sparkle this holiday season.
The sportswear house and Austrian jewelry brand have created two luxurious Air Max Plus models, proving that a touch of glamour into the sneaker culture is never a bad idea.
With a design that mixes comfort and craftsmanship, the Swarovski-covered Air Max Plus silhouette arrives in two colorways “Sunset” and “Moonlight”.
The first is inspired by the warm colors of the sunset, while the second adopts a black and white color palette with Swarovski crystals set in the classic TPU overlays that characterize the model.
Both editions highlight Swarovski’s nearly 130 years of experience in crystal craftsmanship. The crystals, applied precisely on the sneakers, are designed to enhance the already iconic wave motifs of the Air Max Plus. In both versions the rubber sole is designed for optimal grip, maintaining the performance advantage of the sneaker and adding a premium and refined aesthetic. The “Moonlight” sneaker features a stylish all-black base made of high-quality mesh that guarantees durability and breathability. The Swarovski crystals are arranged in a gradient pattern, reminiscent of the delicate glow of moonlight on a clear night.
The “Sunset” edition offers a vibrant alternative. Inspired by the fiery hues of a setting sun, this version features a gradient upper that transitions through tones of red, orange and yellow. These warm colors are accentuated by Swarovski crystals, set along the external TPU layers, creating a vibrant mosaic that recalls the shades of twilight.
The “Sunset” edition also features contrasting black and orange details on the base, midsole and also on the outsole and Air units.
The two versions of the shoe come with equally exclusive packaging, which includes a microfiber dust bag. A thoughtful touch, which underlines the luxurious aspect of the collaboration.
It is no coincidence that the price of the sneakers will be around 400 and 500 dollars.
The Air max plus in collaboration with Swarovski will be launched on the market on December 5, 2024, to the delight of sneaker collectors and lovers of craftsmanship.
