The London Fashion Week this year goes digital as we anticipated a few weeks ago and, the British Fashion Council, revealed the official line-up of this new edition. Starting from tomorrow, Friday 12th of June until Sunday 14th of June, the London Fashion Week’s official website will be used as a digital platform where they will publish the exclusive content created by the designers, brand, retailers and media company. Unfortunately, many big names will not showcase their new collection like Burberry, as well as Martine Rose, Wales Bonner, A-COLD-WALL* and Paria Farzaneh, one of the new young designers that opened the January’s edition. Craig Green will present their collection during the Paris Fashion Week like last year, while Marques’Almeida and Robyn Lynch will produce just a capsule collection. Then Bianca Saunders, RAEBURN and Daniel W. Fletcher will only organize a panel.
At the beginning of the pandemic, the British Fashion Council was the first institution to announce the digitalization of the fashion week, creating a lot of buzz around it, but for now, they’re not matching our expectations. Maybe we will see a last-minute miracle….
