Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton can now add the roles of brand ambassador and guest designer to his CV.
Dior has in fact appointed the Mercedes star, already a long-time friend of the maison and of the creative director Kim Jones, ambassador of the menswear section.
The news certainly isn’t surprising, as the Formula 1 driver often appears in public with customized Dior looks and is often a guest at the House’s fashion shows.
Known for his bold styles off the track, Hamilton was already considered something of a fashion icon. What is a little more unexpected is therefore his involvement in the actual production of a collection as a guest designer.

The news of the collection confirms a period of new beginnings for Hamilton who, from 2025, will move from the Mercedes F1 team, the team with which he signed for 11 years, to Ferrari.
The very famous driver, fresh from his recent victory in the British Grand Prix, was asked by Kim Jones to jointly design an exclusive capsule collection.
the two have in fact joined forces to create a collection, with a sporty style but unexpectedly focused on skiing and snowboarding.
Designed specifically for the winter season, the collection features a selection of sweaters, snow jackets and accessories, including snowboards by Dior.
The clothing items in the capsule combine streetwear and outdoor style with the luxury elements that distinguish the Maison, bringing to light Kim Jones and Hamilton’s commitment to sustainability and their shared passion for African culture.
“We want to make sure this collection has a significant impact. Making everything sustainable was essential. Honestly, this was a dream. I wanted to bring liveliness and do something a little different to what Dior does.” Lewis Hamilton said in an interview.

The line therefore offers sweaters, sweatshirts and fleeces made with organic or recycled fabrics, denim and tweed trousers and sneakers adapted for winter sports. Part of the collection also includes technical clothing produced in collaboration with Descente, a Japanese brand already dear to Dior for previous projects. Everything is made with 80% sustainable materials, without the use of animal leather and features motifs inspired by African culture.
The Dior lifestyle capsule designed by Lewis Hamilton will arrive in stores and online on October 17.
