Jacquemus‘ fashion shows are always synonymous with refinement, modernity, a front row dotted with celebrities and an innate ability to involve the web with its dream scenarios. And the ss24 was no exception.
Gently illuminated by the winter sun, Simon Porte Jacquemus Spring Summer 2024 was staged on the coast of Nice, France. Apparently inspired by the works of Alberto Giacometti, the “LES SCULPTURES” fashion show took place at La Fondacion Maeght, France’s first independent art foundation, and saw models walk among the Swiss artist’s signature sculptures.
The collection represents the contemporary and innovative vision of quiet luxury according to Jacquemus, and does so through a new study of volumes, with silhouettes and tailoring cuts completely distorted and deformed, but at the same time perfectly in harmony.
Opening the show as usual is Gigi Hadid who appears in an entirely leather outfit with tone-on-tone crocodile texture, oversized belts and voluminous sleeves, establishing the stylistic thread of the entire collection to follow.

Rich in tonal looks – total black, total red, sand beige, officecore gray – Jacquemus SS24 focuses more on the shape than on the color palette (as always used by the designer with purity and minimalism).
The emphasis is on the silhouette and, as such, there are many shapes reimagined with unconventional fits: buttonless and lapelless blazers, boat-neck sweaters and sleeveless tunics enriched with textures that include animal prints, furry details, elegant snakeskin and textured leather.
Among numerous seamless blazers and oversized suits that wrap the female form with elegance, there are also unusual interpretations of workwear with hidden pockets and striped patterns.
The catwalk then ends with the canonical, but not so traditional, bridal look which, through the minimalist and progressive interpretation of Simon Porte Jacquemus, translates into an envelope dress with squared edges and a transparent veil to cover the face.
A non-negligible detail of the show is obviously the great guest stars who attended the event including Kylie Jenner, Julia Roberts and the Sex and The City actress, Kristin Davis, the latest arrival among the modern “priestesses” of Jacquemus’ temple of fashion.
