Dolce & Gabbana presented the new Menswear Spring/Summer 2021 collection with a live show in Milan, set in the park of the Campus di Humanitas UniversityThe collection is a homage to Italian creativity and beauty manifested in the famous Hotel Parco Dei Principi in Sorrento. Designed in 1960 by Gio Ponti, the hotel represents the perfect mix of art, design and fashion, and the overhanging white structure reflect on the crystal blue sea. The collection is a mix of modernity and neoclassicism, that alternates geometrical print inspired by the ceramics from the 60s to prints that feature neoclassic statues. The colour palette reminds us of the infinite shades of blue of the sky and the sea. The silhouette alternates wide comfortable volumes to perfect or asymmetrical overlays that characterize the sartorial suits and the denim looks. Fabrics and materials evocate the Italian craftmanship tradition.

With this event, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana wanted to move forward with their collaboration with Humanitas University, that the brand has been supporting for a while and financed many scholarships. From February 2020, Dolce and Gabbana have donated a lot of money to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic, coordinated by Dr. Alberto Mantovani throughout a fundraiser sponsored by INTESA San Paolo.
